This year we have double the space at the Doubetree in Columbia\, which means a dealer’s den\, more defined event spaces and more of everything else. Instead of a potluck the hotel is catering a Howliday Dinner for us. We will be featuring new merchandise designs including a new one exclusively for sponsors. Planned events include Artist Alley/Dealer’s Den\, Video Game Room/Traditional Game Room\, Art Jam and Craft space\, a furry holiday dinner\, dance floor\, and maybe even some panels. For those of you that have not been Pinkeys is a Barcade with a bunch of pinball\, a handfull of light shooters and a healthy pile of everything else. We like the Karaoke night because not everyone likes arcade games. We have the VIP section all to ourselves from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM though they usually don’t kick us out at 9:00. That means we have a private area that’s a bit quieter than the rest of the bar that we can sit and rest our heads when they aren’t on our shoulders. Pinkey’s has been super friendly to us furries and is hosting the Palmetto Fur the Season event later this year! SUMMARY:Anthro Outings: South Carolina Railroad Museum and Train Ride
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a day of fursuits\, fun\, trains\, education\, and food at the South Carolina Railroad Museum in Winsboro\, South Carolina. Event is fursuit friendly but there are some parts of the museum that are restricted to those not in suit as they are confined and filled with things to bump into or snag yourself on. Event starts at 4:00 with tours of the museum\, the train ride itself is fursuit friendly and will last from 6:00 PM until around 9:00 PM with catered dinner provided by a local small business Peace On Earth Cafe and Consignment\, who serve deli sandwiches big enough for a family of 3. The event will be all ages\, but attendees under the age of 18 must have an adult attending with them. Fursuits or containers for fursuits will be transported via locked trailer to the dinner location along with a changing tent\, allowing you to suit one way\, or desuit during the hour and a half dinner intermission. If you are a fan of trains\, furries\, or relaxing rides in the country we hope to see you there. \nThere is an additional option to donate $5 to the train museum when purchasing a ticket that will be matched by the ASC board and given in a donation to the museum the day of. If you would like to donate further to the train museum you will have plenty of opportunities to do so on the day of. Food is included in the price of the ticket and you will be asked to chose one of 4 food options at the time of purchase.
